The Shoes Make the Outfit

My history with shoes has been a long & frustrating one. In my early 20’s (which seems SO long ago), I spent all my extra money on awesome shoes – not of the running variety and had not a worry in the world about my feet or what these “amazing” shoes were doing for me …

My history with shoes has been a long & frustrating one. In my early 20’s (which seems SO long ago), I spent all my extra money on awesome shoes – not of the running variety and had not a worry in the world about my feet or what these “amazing” shoes were doing for me – or rather not doing for me.

When I got pregnant with my first child my feet went from “normal” to something that would have resembled a large bear. After months of searching I finally had my feet measured and I was a 4EE width, pretty much as wide as shoes are made – it left me with flip flops, knock-off uggs, and the widest, most elderly looking “running” shoes I could find.

While these shoes worked for a while and got me started on my weight loss journey it was time for them to go (my feet had finally returned to normal width). I received a pair of SKORA’s to review on my blog and it was love at first wear – and I haven’t looked back since that day. Since my shoe collection is virtually not even there – I’m hard pressed to find “dress” shoes when I need to go out, I’ve found some great ways to make my SKORA’s transition from the gym to my casual wardrobe. The big plus is I save money and I’m always in ultra comfort. It’s a win-win.

I’ve been known to coordinate my outfits to match my shoes – it’s all about looking good while you run, lift, spin, bike, etc., right? So with the launch of the SKORA Spring collection I thought I’d put together some great options for taking your SKORA’s from the gym to daytime wear. I hope you enjoy the looks I put together! I can’t wait to rock my awesome new shoes all around town and I’ll be in ultimate comfort and not to mention style.

Run Real.
